A DELAY...

Saturday 8/11/12 10am  Posted by Robin Granath

Brad texted that he and Katy are still in Niamey, the capital city of Niger.  They were supposed to fly out to Galmi Hospital hours ago but have been delayed by thunderstorms. For this final leg of the journey, they will be flying about 2 hours in a very small plane--the distance, I think,  is approximately 150 miles.  The weather is forcast to clear up however they were told "no flights, except emergencies, on the Sabbath".  Another day for them to acclimate and recover from jet lag!  Frustrating, I'm sure, but good to know that God is in control.  Please take a moment to post a prayer of encouragement in the comments.  And you can learn more about Galmi Hospital by clicking the link.  Brad and Katy will be visiting with our good friends, Joe & Mame Starke (friends from medical school days) and you can learn more about them by going to YouTube and searching "Joe Starke Galmi Hospital".

    1. Thank you, Eva! Your thoughts and prayers mean so much. Please be praying that God would be preparing many volunteers for this hospital, which is understaffed and overfilled!
