Update from around the world 8-10-12

10:15 pm,  Friday night, the 10th of August, 2012

I just spoke with my Father and my sister, Katy, who called all the way from the capital in Niger, where they stayed the night at a guesthouse. They said it was 6 in the morning and that soon they would be boarding a small plane bound for Galmi to begin work at the hospital there. Both of them are in high spirits and send their regards to everyone reading and waiting for updates. Katy said the airport was very small and that all the buildings in the city are reddish-orange, either because they are built that way, or because they're covered in the reddish-orange dirt that seems to be everywhere. They asked for continued prayer on their behalf and said they'll write on the blog here soon and that hopefully they can get a good picture of their little airplane.

Godspeed, Dr Granath, and a Katy too.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
